The team is getting ready to unleash a new Beta version of our GIS tools onto our servers.
This is a picture of the new web tools.
The new tools are very easy to use and you only need a web browser (a modern one though!).
Some of the exciting new options that are available to us are ..
- mashups with google maps
- mashups with virtual earth maps
- view our data through google earth
- view our data through esri products (ArcMap – not free, ArcExplorer – free)
Click here for an excellent example on the web for the city of Boston.
We are busy testing a few ideas out. Please add your ideas as comments as we need to decide what our first Beta tool project is going to be. Make a comment below with your ideas and suggestions so others can see your great ideas. In this way we can communicate with the whole group!
Cheers
